Happy Holidays and New Live Shows! (Newsletter; Dec. 6, 2010)

Hello, Everybody!

Things have been pretty crazy here in the world of Juana Ghani.  The new website is closer to being ready for its unveiling, new songs are in the making, new partnerships are in those giddy-goofy-flirty stages, and we've been rehearsing long and hard, getting ready for our upcoming debut performances.  Which brings me to the main purpose of this letter:  UPCOMING PERFORMANCES!

This Friday evening, December 10th, we will be playing a set at The Coffee Shop (4013 West 12600 South).  Look for us to start around 8:30pm.  This is a FREE show (tips are gratefully and happily accepted) and the whole family is welcome - even the little kidlettes (unless it's past their bedtime).

Then on Wednesday, December 15th, we will be a part of the Utah Musicians 1st Anniversary Show at Liquid Joe's (1249 East 3300 South) in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Dancing along with our own stunning Natassia, we will be joined by the beautiful and talented ladies of Black Star Belly Dance.  You don't want to miss that!  We will be 1 of 4 bands playing that night so make sure and tell them at the door that you're there to see JUANA GHANI.  Even better, send us an email with your name - and those of the people coming with you - and we'll put you on a list to get in the door for $3 cover.  Doors open at 7pm.  Must be over 21.

Unfortunately, our euphonium player, Patrick, will be leaving us after the Liquid Joe's show and moving home to Michigan.  We'll miss him, but we wish him the very best.

That about wraps things up for now.  Until next time (rumors of art shows and hookah abound!), Happy Holidays from all of us!

Budmo!
Juana Ghani

P.S.  We are currently auditioning for sousaphone/tuba, trombone, trumpet, fiddle, additional percussion (bodhran, cajon, dohl, djembe, etc.), and additional female vocals.  If you live in the Salt Lake City area, are over 21 and are interested in joining the Juana Ghani family, please contact us at juanaghani@gmail.com and tell us about yourself and what instrument(s) you play.
